OnePlus actions are proving the notch is not welcomed

The "notch," made famous by Apple's iPhone X, has been a hot topic as of late. There are some that do not mind the notch, but there are many who do not find it aesthetically pleasing. Unfortunately, more and more smartphone manufacturers are starting to copy the design because, you know, Apple did it. They are completely ignoring the harsh criticism it has received and seem to be forcing it down our throats. Carl Pei, co-founder of OnePlus, recently tweeted out "learn to love the notch," and quickly deleted it after backlash from consumers. All that tweet did was continue to force this awful design choice on consumers instead of listening to what customers want. In addition, OnePlus recently

5G phones will probably need to be charged once a month says Verizon CEO

We continue to inch closer to a world of 5G capabilities. Some US carriers are saying that they will launch 5G networks at the end of this year. We also had a CEO enlighten us on how 5G will impact battery life on smartphones and other 5G capable devices. Speaking earlier this week at IBM's Think Conference, Verizon Wireless CEO Lowell McAdams stated that we will "probably charge our phones once a month." ONCE A MONTH. Just in case you're in disbelief with what you just read, I'll say it again. Once. A. Month. The exact quote: “By the way, in an IoT setting, 5G will have 10-year battery life. And we expect that in a mobile phone environment, you’ll probably charge your phone once a month.” T

After years with Verizon, I made the switch to T-Mobile and you should too

Not everyone likes change, but sometimes you have to do it for the better. Recently, I made the switch over to T-Mobile from Verizon Wireless and have nothing but positive things to say. This was a tough decision to make since I was a big advocate of Verizon, but now I can say I'm a big fan of the Un-carrier. I was previously with Big Red for about 10 years and also worked for them for the last 3 years (I moved on to other employment a few months ago). T-Mobile always sparked my curiosity with their amazing deals, their changing of the wireless industry, and being able to use just about any phone with them due to their GSM (Global System for Mobile) network. After moving on from my employmen
