LG's next flagship to be revealed in June and come with a 6.1-inch screen
Earlier today, Evan Blass, of VentureBeat, published a report stating that someone was briefed by LG on the company's plans for their next flagship smartphone. The device, codenamed "Judy," is slated to be unveiled sometime in June with a potential summer release.
According to the report, the smartphone will be completely redesigned. It will have a 6.1-inch Full Vision display with a 18:9 aspect ratio. LG will be using a new type of display panel on the device called MLCD+. It is said that the display will be very bright, but consume 35% less energy than your conventional IPS LCD panel.
A Qualcomm Snapdragon 845 processor will be on board coupled with 64GB of internal memory and 4GB of RAM. The handset will also have a dual-camera configuration sporting 16-megapixel sensors and matching f/1.6 apertures.
In addition, it is said that it will come with an IP68 certification rating making it dust and water-resistant and come equipped with stereo speakers. The device will feature wireless charging, HDR10 (high dynamic range) imaging, a digital assistant, voice recognition, and a camera AI.
LG released two outstanding smartphones last year in the G6 and the V30 and so far Judy looks to build on their success. June just got much more exciting.
