There has been talk of foldable smartphones for quite some time now. With 2017 quickly approaching and being targeted as the year of the foldable phone, it seems like we're soon going to go into overdrive regarding the topic.
A few days ago, a patent application was published that showed off what Samsung's foldable phone could look like. In the renders, there is a Surface Book style hinge in the middle that allows the phone to fold. The concept appears to be heading mainstream in the second half of 2016.
Could this potentially launch with the next Note or be the next Note? With LG also working on a foldable phone and Apple filing a patent for one, who will be the first to launch the world's first mainstream foldable smartphone?
