Earlier today, LG teased the announcement of the LG V30 on social media. Telling its fans to "save the date," and that "another story of #V begins on August 31st in Berlin, Germany." Along with the post, LG put up a photo outlining the potential phone and showing off a screen saver.
The LG V30 will most likely be pitted up against the upcoming Samsung Galaxy Note 8 and could be released ahead of the next iteration of iPhone. With IFA beginning on September 1st, the announcement of the LG V30 is a good unofficial way to kick things off for the consumer electronics show.
It is rumored that the LG V30 will have a Qualcomm Snapdragon 835 processor, a 5.7-inch quad QHD OLED display, 6GB of RAM and a 3200 mAh battery. It is also expected to have a FullVision display with an aspect ratio of 18:9 just like the LG G6. As far as a secondary display goes, it is doubtful that the early rumors of a slide out second screen will come to fruition.
