As expected, Samsung is expected to unveil the Galaxy Note 8 in late August, the company has officially confirmed. Gao Dongzhen, Samsung's President of Mobile Communications, confirmed the announcement at a event in Taiwan.
Additionally, Dongzhen said the company will release the phablet in two waves starting in September. Certain countries, such as the United States, will be in the first wave to get the device and others will be in the second.
With this announcement, the rumored unveiling date of August 23rd appears that much closer to being spot on. To capitalize on sales, expect Samsung to release the Galaxy Note 8 ahead of Apple's next version of iPhone.
The Galaxy Note 8 could come with a Qualcomm Snapdragon 835 processor, a 6.3-inch display, 6GB of RAM, a 3300 mAh battery, and a rear dual-camera configuration.
