2017 is shaping up to be quite a year for smartphones and it's only getting better as we get deeper into the final half of the year. One of the most highly anticipated devices of 2017 is the Google Pixel 2 and its larger variation, the Google Pixel XL 2. With that said, courtesy of @OnLeaks (on Twitter), we have the first 3D renders of the upcoming devices.
In these renders, we have our first look of the Google Pixel 2. Seemingly, the only difference between the two handsets is the size. The renders of the larger model appear to be on point with the photo that Android Police released of the Pixel XL 2 a few weeks ago. Front-facing speakers also appear on the Pixel XL 2.
Both devices will have a smaller back glass plate and a fingerprint sensor below it. Neither device appear to have a dual-camera setup. Additionally, it seems like Google will be following Apple's mistake and omit a headphone jack.
According to the folks over at MySmartPrice, the new Pixel smartphones will be there first to come with the new Qualcomm Snapdragon 836 processor and could come preloaded with Android 8.0. Lastly, the site indicates the dimensions will roughly be 145.3 x 69.3 x 7.8 mm (8.2 with camera bump) for the Pixel 2 and 157.6 x 76.3 x 7.9 mm (8.6 with camera bump) for the Pixel XL 2.
