Tipster Ice Universe (@UniverseIce on Twitter) is at it again. This time, the tipster is indicating that Samsung will release a different, more expensive variant of the highly anticipated Galaxy Note 8.
Dubbed the Samsung Galaxy Note 8 Emperor Edition, this variant is expected to have 6GB of RAM and come with up to 256GB of internal storage. Ice Universe had an initial report of the phablet having a whopping 8GB of RAM and up to 256GB of internal storage, but revised the RAM total.
Unfortunately, not all regions will receive the larger storage model. For example, the highest model the US is expected to get will feature 6GB of RAM and 128GB of storage. This variation of the phablet could carry a price tag north of $1,000.
Additionally, on Weibo, Ice Universe claims there will be three color options for the Galaxy Note 8. These colors are black, blue, and grey. Samsung is set to take the wraps off the upcoming phablet at their Unpacked event scheduled for August 23rd in New York.
