An apparent press render was leaked out by Twitter user @UniverseIce that shows off the upcoming LG V30 and it's new, edgy FullVision display. The photo also shows the new phone side-by-side with the LG G6 and the Samsung Galaxy S8+.
According to The Korea Herald, LG will be omitting their V-series trademark second screen from the LG V30. This was done in order for LG to use their FullVision display technology. In addition, the handset will feature a 6-inch OLED display that has curved edges to enhance the viewing experience and to allow a better grip.
Moreover, the display will have the backing of Corning Gorilla Glass 5 to protect the screen from shattering (however, not shatterproof) and will be protected from screen burn-in discoloration. It will also be IP68 dust and water-resistant and come equipped with a Bang & Olufsen audio system.
It is said that the LG V30 will be Google Daydream ready out of the box and will feature a rear camera that has the lowest aperture ever seen on a smartphone. With an aperture of f/1.6, expect the LG V30 to capture sensational low-light images.
With the August 31st official unveiling looming closer, there is a good chance that these leaks are the real deal. If they are indeed true, the LG V30 will be quite the smartphone.
