Remember that phone we showed you recently during CES that had a fingerprint sensor built into the display? Well, the maker Vivo, has finally given the device a name, as well as the price and release date. Say hello to the Vivo X20 Plus UD.
The Vivo X20 Plus UD will officially be the first phone to launch with a fingerprint scanner that's embedded in the actual display. The device will only be launched in China for now, with pre-orders underway and a release date of February 1st.
The main selling point is obviously the in-display fingerprint sensor, but the device boasts some decent specs. It will have a 6.43-inch OLED display with a 2160 x 1080 resolution and a 18:9 aspect ratio.
It will be powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 660 Octa-core (quad-core Kryo 2.2GHz + quad-core Kryo cores 1.8GHz) processor, comes with 4GB of RAM, and has 128GB of internal store with the ability to expand up to 256GB.
In addition, Android Nougat 7.1 will come pre-loaded, there will be dual 12-megapixel rear cameras, and the device will be fueled by a large 3905 mAh battery. The Vivo X20 Plus UD costs ¥ 3598 (about $570) and comes in black with a gold trim.
