OnePlus actions are proving the notch is not welcomed

The "notch," made famous by Apple's iPhone X, has been a hot topic as of late. There are some that do not mind the notch, but there are many who do not find it aesthetically pleasing. Unfortunately, more and more smartphone manufacturers are starting to copy the design because, you know, Apple did it. They are completely ignoring the harsh criticism it has received and seem to be forcing it down our throats.

Carl Pei, co-founder of OnePlus, recently tweeted out "learn to love the notch," and quickly deleted it after backlash from consumers. All that tweet did was continue to force this awful design choice on consumers instead of listening to what customers want.

In addition, OnePlus recently proved that many are against the notch by publishing an article as to why they've decided to go this route with their upcoming OnePlus 6. There would be no point in explaining this if they weren't getting hammered by fans. In the article, they even admit that a "fiery debate has sparked online." Personally, I thought their reasons for including a notch were weak, but you can be the judge.

As I have stated in the past, I rather have a small top bezel then have an annoying notch. That extra screen real estate does not do anything for me. This is a simple solution until manufacturers find away to make a full screen display without any sacrifices.
