The worst-kept secrets, the Google Pixel 3 and Pixel 3 XL, are coming. Google has officially sent out invites for an event on October 9th in New York City, where they will undoubtedly announce the highly anticipated smartphones.
On the invite, there's an "I <3 NY" phrase, the October 9th date, and the hashtag #madebygoogle. Both handsets have been leaked all over the place, so it won't be much of a surprise. However, Google will likely announce new hardware (that are still kept a surprise) that will probably intrigue the masses.
Based on leaks, the Pixel 3 will sport a similar design to last year's Pixel 2 XL, while the larger Pixel 3 XL is expected to have the highly controversial (and widely disliked) notch design. Dual front-facing cameras will come equipped on both handsets and both should come pre-loaded with Android 9.0 Pie.
